NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY CELEBRATION - 28/02/2025
The College celebrated National Science Day with great enthusiasm, honoring the contributions of Sir C.V. Raman and highlighting the significance of scientific advancements on 28/02/2025. The entire program was conducted by students, showcasing their leadership and enthusiasm for science. The event began with a welcome speech by Aswin O, Science Club Secretary, who emphasized the importance of science in our daily lives and the need to cultivate a scientific temperament. Following this, Theertha P, a Physical Science student, delivered an insightful talk on National Science Day and Sir C.V. Raman, shedding light on his discovery of the Raman Effect and its impact on the field of physics. A documentary video presentation, prepared and presented by students, provided a deeper understanding of Sir C.V. Raman’s contributions and the evolution of science in India. One of the most engaging segments of the event was the Science Day Quiz, organized and conducted by the Natural Science Department. Students participated enthusiastically, and the winners were Akhil Joseph and Meghana K. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks by Anaswar Presannan, a Natural Science student, who expressed gratitude to all the participants, organizers, and faculty members for their support in making the event a grand success.
The National Science Day celebration was an inspiring and educational experience, encouraging curiosity, innovation, and appreciation for scientific progress.
