EFFECTIVE TEACHING -GUEST TALK


 A talk on the topic "Effective Teaching" was delivered by Nittoor Hareendran, Retired teacher, Tribal School, Meppady, on 06/03/2025. Drawing from his vast experience, guest emphasized the importance of a student-centered approach, where understanding learners' cultural and social backgrounds plays a crucial role in shaping effective teaching strategies. He highlighted the need for interactive and engaging methods, such as storytelling, real-life examples, and discussions, to make learning enjoyable and thought-provoking. Stressing the significance of a strong teacher-student relationship, he pointed out that an encouraging and emotionally supportive environment enhances students' confidence and motivation. Additionally, he advocated for the use of local resources in teaching, especially in rural and tribal areas, as hands-on learning experiences rooted in local traditions and nature create a deeper connection with the subject matter. The session was insightful and inspiring, leaving the audience with practical strategies to enhance their teaching effectiveness.
