WOMEN'S DAY CELEBRATION
The College Women Cell organized a vibrant and inspiring Women's Day celebration on March 10, 2025, in the college general hall. The event was a tribute to the achievements of women and a call for continued efforts toward gender equality.
The program began with a warm welcome speech by Praseetha P, Assistant Professor of Natural Science, who set the tone for the event by highlighting the significance of Women's Day and the invaluable contributions of women to society. Following this, Dr. C. V. Jayasree, the Principal of the college, delivered the Presidential Address, emphasizing the progress women have made in education and various professional fields while also acknowledging the challenges that still persist.
The most anticipated moment of the event was the address by the Chief Guest, Dr. Sobha S, Principal of Salafi B. Ed College. In her speech, she spoke passionately about women’s leadership and resilience, sharing inspiring real-life examples of women who have overcome adversities to achieve success. Her words served as a powerful reminder of the strength and potential that lies within every woman.
Adding to the significance of the day, the Women Cell organized two special programs. A short film presentation on women’s empowerment captivated the audience, sparking meaningful discussions about the struggles and triumphs of women in society. Alongside this, an inter B.Ed college photography competition was conducted on the theme "The Power of She." The competition received enthusiastic participation from various B.Ed colleges.
The event was further enriched by felicitations from distinguished faculty members and guests. Krishna Kumar E. P., IQAC Coordinator, applauded the Women Cell for its consistent efforts in promoting gender awareness. Shincy Mohan C.P, Assistant Professor of English, also talks about the importance of women empowerment and Muhammad Aslam K.P, UUC, acknowledged the crucial role women play in shaping society and stressed the importance of ensuring equal opportunities for all.
As the celebration drew to a close, Sreesha V. K., Women Cell Joint Secretary, delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to all dignitaries, participants, and organizers who contributed to the success of the event.
The Women's Day celebration was a truly memorable occasion, filled with insightful discussions, artistic expressions, and a collective commitment to fostering a more inclusive and empowered society.
