UNION AND FINE ARTS INAUGURATION


The Union and Fine Arts inauguration for the academic year was held on 25 November 2025 with great enthusiasm and vibrant student participation. The programme began with a solemn prayer that set a reflective and positive tone for the day. Following this, Aiswarya M.K., the Union General Secretary, delivered the welcome speech, warmly addressing the dignitaries, teachers, and students. The presidential address was then delivered by Diljith E.P., the Union Chairman, who spoke about the significance of student leadership and the active role of the union in fostering a dynamic campus environment.

The official inauguration of the Union was conducted by Dr. Sujith K.V. (DSS, Kannur University), who also took the opportunity to honour the toppers of the pass-out batch. His words of encouragement inspired the students to strive for excellence in both academics and extracurricular activities. The Fine Arts inauguration was performed by the renowned sand artist Anaj, whose live sand art presentation captivated the entire audience and added an artistic charm to the ceremony.

The event continued with felicitations by various dignitaries, including Abdulla Kutty Master (Secretary of SUMCTE) , Ahamadkutty Master ( Manager of SUMCTE) , Abhinand K. (Staff Secretary) , Dr. Krishna Kumar E.P.( Fine Arts Coordinator) , Heba (the Union Vice Chairperson) and Ashfak (the Union UUC). Their words of appreciation and encouragement enriched the spirit of the event. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by Abhina, the Union Fine Arts Secretary, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the ceremony.

After the formal inaugural session, the atmosphere turned festive as students presented a variety of cultural programmes, including dances, songs, drama, and other performances. These vibrant presentations showcased the immense talent of the students and added colour and joy to the celebration, making the event memorable for all.
