CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION
The Christmas celebration was joyfully observed on 23rd December 2025 with enthusiastic participation from the management, staff, and students. The programme reflected the true spirit of Christmas by spreading messages of love, peace, and harmony.
The programme began with a prayer and then a warm welcome speech by George Joseph (Asst. Professor, SUMCTE) who highlighted the significance of Christmas and the values it upholds in personal and social life. This was followed by the Presidential Address by Dr. C. V. Jayasree (Principal, SUMCTE) who emphasized the importance of compassion, unity, and service to humanity.
The Christmas message was delivered by Rev. Clarence Paliath (Diocesan Priest, Kannur). His inspiring talk reminded the gathering of the essence of Christmas—love, sacrifice, forgiveness, and hope—and encouraged everyone to live by these values.
After the guest talk, a cake-cutting ceremony was held, adding to the festive spirit and symbolizing joy, togetherness, and celebration. The moment was shared by the dignitaries, staff, and students, creating a warm and cheerful atmosphere.
The programme then proceeded to the felicitation session, during which Ahamadkutty (Manager, SUMCTE), Abhinand K (Staff Secretary, SUMCTE), Diljith EP (Union Chairman), and Abhina P (Union Fine Arts Secretary) conveyed their Christmas wishes and appreciated the collective efforts behind the celebration. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Aiswarya MK (Union General Secretary), who expressed sincere gratitude to all the dignitaries, faculty members, students, and organizers for their support and cooperation.
Following the formal proceedings, the celebration continued with colourful cultural programmes by the students. The performances, including songs, dances, and skits, showcased the creativity and talents of the students and made the Christmas celebration lively, joyful, and memorable.
