YOGA FOR HAPPY LIFE - PRACTICAL SESSION
A yoga session was organized for the Fourth Semester students of SUMCTE on 25/02/2026 with the objective of integrating mind and body and promoting holistic well-being among future educators. The session aimed to help students manage stress, improve concentration, and develop physical and mental balance.
The activities were conducted by a trained yoga instructor, Mr. Sagunan A.K., Padannakkara. He guided the students through various yoga postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation exercises. The session was highly engaging and interactive, allowing students to clarify their doubts and understand the importance of incorporating yoga into their daily routine.
The programme began with a welcome address by Mr. Sunnesh Kolangaroth ( NSS coordinator), who highlighted the significance of yoga in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, especially for teachers who shoulder great responsibilities. Dr. Jayasree C.V (Principal, SUMCTE) addressed the gathering and emphasized the role of yoga in enhancing mental clarity, emotional stability, and overall personality development. As part of the programme, an exhibition of several yoga posters was also organized. The posters illustrated different asanas, their procedures, and health benefits, which helped students gain additional knowledge about yoga practices.The session concluded on a positive note, with students expressing their appreciation for the informative and refreshing experience. Overall, the yoga class was a successful and enriching programme that effectively contributed to the physical and mental well-being of the students
